Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the tofu in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes total.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Pour over cooked tofu in the skillet.
  5. Stir to coat and cook for an additional minute until the sauce thickens slightly. Serve warm.
