  • pounds ground lamb or beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 large carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary and thyme)

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, sauté diced onion and garlic in oil until fragrant. Add carrots, celery, and ground meat; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
