  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Spike Seasoning (or all-purpose seasoning)
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Trim visible fat from the chicken breasts and score them lightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, Spike Seasoning, dried basil, oregano, onion powder, sage, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken in a Ziploc bag or container and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 5–8 hours.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and drain.
  5. Grill each breast for 3–4 minutes on one side until marked; flip and cook for another 4–6 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest briefly before slicing and serve hot.
