  • 4 large boneless skin-on chicken breast halves (1012 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup chopped fresh basil
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, salt, chopped basil, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  2. Coat both sides of each chicken breast with the marinade.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in a gallon zip lock bag, seal it, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (up to 12 hours).
  4. Preheat your grill over medium heat and prepare the chicken by wiping excess marinade off the skin side.
  5. Grill skin-side down for 8-10 minutes, turning them halfway for grill marks.
  6. Flip the chicken and cook on a cooler part of the grill until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (about another 8-10 minutes).
  7. Allow the chicken to rest covered with foil for about five minutes before serving.
