Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and toasted pecans.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
