Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes (peeled & thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning
- 1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F and position the rack in the middle.
- Peel the potatoes and slice them uniformly using a mandoline slicer.
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, then bring to a gentle boil before removing from heat.
- In an 8×8 baking dish, layer half of the potato slices overlapping slightly. Pour half of the cream mixture over the top followed by half of each type of cheese. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 70-75 minutes or until tender when pierced with a toothpick.
