  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the tortellini cooks, slice mushrooms and chop sage.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped sage and cook until crispy; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and garlic with another tablespoon of butter; sauté until browned.
  5. Drain tortellini and add to the skillet along with remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper.
