Ingredients

  • Firm or extra-firm tofu
  • Gochujang
  • Vegetable oil
  • Low-sodium soy sauce
  • Maple syrup (or honey)
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture and cut into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the marinade and let them sit for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Fry the marinated tofu cubes in batches until golden brown on all sides (about 3 minutes per side).
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving.
