- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Grated peel from 1/2 orange
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, orange peel, and orange juice to the butter mixture; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
