  • 1 cup warm water (110°-115°F)
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and salt.
  3. Pour half of the oil mixture into the yeast mixture; set the rest aside.
  4. Gradually add flour to the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  5. Transfer dough to a greased bowl and cover with a towel; allow to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  7. Pour remaining oil mixture into a baking dish and coat evenly.
  8. Spread risen dough in the baking dish, creating dimples with your fingers.
  9. Slice into strips using a pizza cutter; brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and salt.
  10. Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown; brush with additional olive oil and sprinkle parmesan before serving.
