  • 500 grams ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 200 grams leeks, finely chopped
  • 130 grams onion, finely chopped
  • 450 grams phyllo pastry
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 145 grams (⅔ cup) milk
  • 70 grams (3 tablespoons) Greek yogurt
  • 80 ml water
  • 120 grams (12 tablespoons) olive oil (or half olive oil and half vegetable oil or melted butter)
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (minced)

Instructions

  1. Thaw phyllo overnight in the fridge.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan; sauté onions and leeks until soft.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned. Stir in spices and let cool.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush a baking dish with olive oil.
  5. Layer phyllo sheets in the dish, brushing each with oil, then spread the meat filling evenly.
  6. Cover with more phyllo layers and bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown.
