  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) Cool Whip
  • 1 tablespoon toasted almond slivers

Instructions

  1. Bake the angel food cake according to the package instructions and let it cool completely. Cut into cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding, milk, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Layer half of the cake cubes in a 9×13 baking dish, followed by two-thirds of the cherry pie filling. Add the remaining cake cubes on top.
  4. Spread the pudding mixture over the cake layers evenly, then top with Cool Whip.
  5. Garnish with leftover cherry pie filling and toasted almonds. Chill for 4 to 5 hours before serving.
