Instructions

- In a bowl, combine chopped strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar; set aside to macerate.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and remaining sugar until smooth. Add flour and lemon zest; mix until crumbly.
- Press half the dough into the prepared baking dish. Spread macerated strawberries over the crust and crumble remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling before slicing.
