  • 200 grams ground pork
  • 400 grams lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 100 grams crustless bread
  • 810 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups hot water or stock

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, minced onion, garlic, egg, crustless bread, white wine, cumin, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and stir in flour until golden brown. Gradually add hot water or stock while whisking until smooth. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add browned meatballs back into the pan and simmer for about 15 minutes.
