- 1 cup unsalted cold butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk or white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together cold cubed butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time until fully mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in both types of chocolate chips (and any optional nuts).
- Scoop dough into large balls (about ¼ cup each) and place on the prepared baking sheet with space in between.
- Bake for around 10 minutes or until golden brown on the edges but still soft in the center.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
