- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons salted butter for serving
- 1/4 cup maple syrup for serving
