- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 1/2 tsp zested ginger root (peeled)
- 1 Tbsp sunflower oil (or any neutral flavored oil)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp orange juice concentrate (or 3 Tbsp orange juice)
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp rice wine (or apple cider vinegar)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, oil, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and coat well.
- In another bowl, mix cornstarch and flour. Coat each piece of chicken with this mixture.
