Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup salted butter (softened)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 44 Whoppers
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, then mix in the peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat them in granulated sugar, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Immediately press one Whopper into each cookie's center after removing from the oven.
- Melt chocolate chips and pipe legs coming from each Whopper; use white cake decorating gel for eyes.
