- 3 tbsp heavy cream, at room temperature
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 and 1/4 cups pecan halves
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cold heavy cream
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- flaky sea salt, for topping
- ice cream, optional for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and parchment paper.
- For the crust, mix melted butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly. Press into the pan. Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden.
- For the filling, combine melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, heavy cream in a pot over medium heat until boiling. Remove from heat and temper the eggs with some of this mixture before mixing everything together with pecans, salt, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust and bake for another 28 to 34 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center.
- Allow cooling completely before slicing into bars.
