Instructions

- Sauté the mirepoix in the same pot until softened, then add garlic.
- Stir in potatoes, seasonings, and chicken stock; bring to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender.
- In a separate pot, create a cream mixture by whisking flour into melted butter, then gradually adding milk and heavy cream until thickened.
- Combine the cream mixture with the soup, stir in cheese and cooked sausage until melted.
