  • 2 packs udon noodles
  • 200 g fresh beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • Chinese cabbage (or leafy greens of choice)
  • Soy sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch slurry for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook udon noodles in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until slightly firm; drain and set aside.
  3. Mix remaining marinade with dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, water, and potato starch for the black pepper sauce.
  4. Stir-fry garlic and onions in a hot wok until soft; add marinated beef and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in the black pepper sauce and simmer until thickened. Toss in cooked udon noodles and Chinese cabbage until well combined.
