  • 1 lb white fish fillets (tilapia, snapper, or cod)
  • 2 tbsp blackening seasoning (paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano)
  • 4 corn or flour tortillas
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 medium avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and oregano.
  3. Generously sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of each fish fillet.
  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat; add 1 tbsp oil.
  5. Cook seasoned fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until cooked through and charred.
  6. Warm tortillas in another pan; assemble tacos with blackened fish, avocado slices, and cilantro. Serve with lime wedges.
