- 1 14-oz package extra firm tofu
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups steamed edamame
- 1 avocado
- optional: sesame seeds and spring onions to garnish
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes and coat with cornstarch.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and cook the tofu until golden brown and crispy.
- In a bowl or blender, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the crispy tofu and cook until thickened.
- Assemble your bowls with rice as the base, topped with sticky tofu, steamed edamame, avocado slices, and optional garnishes like sesame seeds or spring onions.
