  • 2 to 3 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown bits form; cool for about 20 minutes.
  3. Process oats into fine crumbs; set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Combine cooled butter with sugars; mix well before adding egg and vanilla.
  6. Stir in molasses and fold in dry ingredients along with processed oats.
  7. Chill dough for at least three hours or overnight.
