  • 3 to 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 drops pink food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Mix in egg, lemon extract, strawberry extract, salt, baking powder, strawberry powder, lemon zest, and food coloring (if using).
  3. Gradually add flour until the dough is non-greasy and pulls away from the bowl.
  4. Roll out the dough between parchment paper and chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Cut shapes with cookie cutters and place on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 7-9 minutes until matte on top; cool before decorating.
