Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Stir in the milk until fully combined.
  4. Gently fold in the sliced peaches until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil until sugars dissolve.
  7. Pour the syrup over the batter in the baking dish.
