  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1 ripe pear, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill the pineapple on skewers for 2-3 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Grill marinated chicken strips for 3-4 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. Prepare the salsa by mixing grilled pineapple, pear, red onion, jalapeño, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Warm tortillas on the grill or skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
  6. Assemble tacos with grilled chicken and salsa; add optional toppings as desired.
