  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread melted butter in a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together whole milk, vanilla extract, and sugar.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to the wet mixture; stir until just combined.
  4. Spoon the batter over the melted butter without mixing them together. Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  5. Gently pour hot water over both layers.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and mostly set.
  7. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
